Vac4Rent is family owned and operated, with roots in hydro excavation reaching back to the early 1990s, three decades in the trade.
Founder and CEO Troy Fimrite has 34+years of hydro excavation experience and has owned and operated hydrovac companies himself. He knows the rent-a-truck scramble firsthand, both as the operator chasing a unit and the rental company with iron sitting idle. He's authored 109+ expert articles on Hydrovac News and advocates for mandatory hydrovac adoption with contractors, utilities, and regulators. When we say we've been on both sides of this call, we mean it literally.

How it works
Rental companies list the operating locations they rent their hydrovac and vacuum trucks and trailers out of. Operators submit a rental request and nearby rental companies reach out to them through Vac4Rent; the rental company replies by email or phone to work out terms.
We connect the two sides, then get out of the way, no bidding, no commission, and the rental company keeps everything they earn. Posting a rental request is free.
No commission
Vac4Rent takes no commission. We're not in the middle of the rental or the payment. Both sides set their own terms and the rental company keeps every dollar. No bidding wars, no cut, no money moving through us.
Rental companies pay one flat monthly fee per operating location, enough to keep the site running and low enough that a single rental covers it. Posting a rental request stays free. We're paid by the companies who list, not by a slice of what changes hands.
